Valentina Fedorovna Makkaveeva

Valentina Makkaveeva, better known as Valya, was born on May 10, 1947 in Moscow, Russia and lived there for the rest of her life, despite spending the first seven years of her life with her grandmother in a village in Kaluga Oblast. She was born to parents Valentina Dmitrievskaya and Fedor Chernusskih, and was raised alongside her older sister Elena Chernusskih. She graduated from the Moscow Institute of Civil Engineering in 1970, where she met her husband Boris Makkaveev, and continued in her professional career as a civil engineer. In her life she had two children, Irina and Alexei Makkaveev, and enjoyed spending her time knitting, solving puzzles, and hanging out with her family. She died on September 20, 2020 from cancer in Moscow, Russia.
