Rosa Ibragimovna (Khabibulina) Makkaveeva | Роза Ибрагимовна (Хабибулина) Маккавеева

Rosa was the mother of both Viktor and Boris Makkaveev and the wife of Pyetor Makkaveev. She was born on March 27, 1914 in a Tatar village in north Kazakstan. Rosa didn’t learn to speak Russian until she was 18 years old. Since she was young she was taking care of sheep and later went to study veterinarian science in Orenburg, specializing in large farm animals. She was sent to work in Moscow in the late 1930s where she met her future husband Pyetor. They were stationed in the same dormitories. During World War II she lived in Mongolia with her husband where both of their sons were born. She died on November 1, 1996 in Moscow, Russia.
