Aleksandr Dmitrievich Dmitrievsky | Александр Дмитриевич Дмитриевский
Father of Valentina Dmitrievskaya and her siblings Nikolai, Vera, and Olga, Aleksandr Dmitrievsky was born in 1892 in Russia before the Bolshevik Revolution. He served in the army in the World War I. He was trained as a priest and finished seminary as a lot of people in his family did, but because of the revolution he was forced to find other employment. His father was a landowner and as a result his family was doing their best to avoid persecution by the new regime. He ended up abandoning his fiancé, a priest’s daughter, and was forced to marry a woman from a local peasant family, Stephanida. He worked in a bank and died from complications of alcoholism when he was only 40 years old. He died in 1932.
