Mia Stoliartchouk

My name is Mia Stoliartchouk and I was born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area. My parents, Irina Makkaveeva and Alexei Stoliartchouk, immigrated from Russia in the 1990s and had me in 2006. We currently live in El Sobrante, California along with my two sisters Lily and Katherine Stoliartchouk, our dog Lola, our cats Timka, Karl, and Zoe, and our parakeets Chip and Dale. An upcoming college freshman, I enjoy playing cello, watching movies, and spending time with my friends and family. Aside from my immediate family, though, most of my closer relatives live across the world in Russia. Visiting  Moscow almost every summer since I was born, I never thought that my family could extend beyond those two worlds. During the process of designing this website and creating my extensive family tree, though, I have discovered family members living not only in California and Russia, but also in England and other parts of United States. I am so grateful for the efforts of both of my parents, my mentor, and my family in helping me create and grow this incredible project.
